Travelling across Italy on two wheels is, in itself, a fantastic experience, but if you decide to do it off road it will be unforgettable. Starting from Follonica the trip takes us through the Chianti vineyards and across the Appenine mountains to Riccione. It’s split up into three stages and you have the chance to explore little-known tracks and dust roads that climb up to mountain passes where the views are just breathtaking.
Only 60 of the 480 km are on tarmac so we’ll need to make sure that the bikes have petrol and the riders have the energy they’ll need to tackle each day. You’ll recognise a lot of the names and places that we come across on our journey, and the food and wine that we taste will be like another voyage of discovery, in a land where eating is considered a fine art. We’re confident that we can satisfy even the most demanding customers because we have selected the best places to eat, the nicest places to stay and the most interesting places to visit.
- The Coast to Coast off road can be done by any bike that has knobby tyres.
